About This Year ~ 6 November 2020

Well, that election thing is done... sort of. Now it’s all about the recounts, lawsuits, emotional aftermath, reaction anxiety dissolving and intelligently readdressing the prevailing issues at hand.

Knowing that 2020 for most has fallen into the category of maybe the hugest, most beautiful bummer year ever, know that it is ending... effectively the worst of the year likely finishes even before the year ends.

On 21 December Jupiter and Saturn align in Aquarius. The time of Jupiter and Saturn and Pluto in Capricorn all square Eris within in one calendar year is over. We haven’t ever had to endure these before in this lifetime, or the lifetime before that, or the lifetime before that.

In fact, should you review 1762 - 1778, the last Pluto in Capricorn transit escapade you’ll find that during that sign occupation by Pluto, Jupiter did align with his brother in Capricorn. Eris also shared the sign of Capricorn part of that time, but she never consummated a formal aspect with Pluto during that tenure. And all that while, Saturn was not in Capricorn. So this current stacking of Jupiter, Saturn and Pluto is, as has become commonplace to say this last couple of years, unprecedented. And the era of this trinity in Capricorn concludes as of 21 December.

Sure, the very next day Mars conjoins Eris in Aries and the day after that, Mars squares Pluto. Then, those stressful repeating patterns are done in this cycle. Even though these two aspects challenge optimistic sensibilities, the movie of the clog of our largest gaseous giants with Pluto in Capricorn flickered its last light on our collective screens. Now, of course, the parking lot of the theater must be navigated in a civil and forward-thinking manner for a safe drive home.

But let’s step back not quite a fortnight. One of the last hurrahs of the year lines up on 10 December as Pluto in Capricorn squares Eris in Aries. This is the last time that he squares off with her while Jupiter and Saturn in Capricorn’s bounds. Consider these aspects to be reality checks that ensure that all matters put on the table for resolution during 2020 continue to be properly attended.

We’re in the last hurrah of 2020. These last aspects should be the final push for any political resistance regarding what happened in the United States election and aftermath, the monitoring of new developments for calm in the Middle East, a kibosh on any shenanigans by North Korea. Countries around the world reset and adjust to Jupiter and Saturn in Aquarius, preparing for a more unified global view of how to get things improving and how to rid the world of coronavirus and prepare for other such eventualities in the future so not as much mayhem results. Will this be easy? Not exactly. But with Saturn’s steadfast steps executing Jupiter’s latest good idea grab, progress will be made.

For every occupant of Earth benefits from realizing this is a big shove from cosmic forces. It is time to declare and commit to doing everything to fulfill any hint of a life yearning. The way to a re engaged world is nearly at hand. The universe asks you if all that discussion with yourself that occurred during shelter in place while looking in the mirror or posting on Tik-Tok was really true. Did you mean it? Did you promise that you’d get on with your life as if there’s no tomorrow once the way clears? That may not be holiday music you hear in the distance. It could be the piper.

Consider that Eris, according to current orbital refinements, strolls once around the Sun every 559 years. That’s twice the time that Pluto requires to accomplish his revolution. She dives way deeper into space. She dwells in darker places, and from her point of view she can see beyond the next beyond. Remember that Eris bears Taurus-Libra themes. Taurus from her nodal position. Libra from where she comes closest to the Sun.

So in this year where our two largest gaseous giants and the pernicious Pluto and the pesky Mars all interacted with the goddess of discord in a reasonably approximate string of months, what have we learned?

What about any desires regarding social status?

What about hanging out with the cool people? Or those influential? Or those meaningful to your ultimate path?

How much money is required to support the preferred lifestyle? Is there a Goldilocks zone of “not too little, not too much” that does not compromise what you need to thrive?

What would you do if you had nothing else to do?

How can you summon your perfect personal fit in the outer world?

Do you feel a snug, but not tight, fit of your soul inside your skin?

It’s almost as if the planets sing out in a celebratory choir for Earthlings to celebrate the accomplishment of enduring a most difficult era. And let that chorus stir inspiration and awe so that sights can be set on achieving short tasks that produce an immediate fulfillment, as well as long range visions that serve as balm for an aching world.

Look ahead. Remember to breathe as Capricorn trends can be stingy with breath. With Jupiter and Saturn coming together and close enough now to get a cigar, Hatha yoga, cardiovascular attention and feeling the vitality and enthusiasm to stride forward in the boldest of ways fit the cosmic billing.

More soon.
